Responsibilities of First Aiders
Scene Management
Principles of treatment
Patient Assessment: (Primary and Secondary Surveys)
CPR & use of an AED (Defibrillator)
CPR and AED practical
Recovery position
Heart Attack
Stroke
Wounds and Bleeding including the application of Dressings and Bandages
Respiratory Emergencies including choking and Asthma
Altered levels of consciousness incl fainting, seizures etc.
Shock including its recognition and treatment
Musculoskeletal Injuries: Fractures, Sprains, Strains and Dislocations
Head injuries including compression, concussion and factures
Allergic reactions including Anaphylactic shock
Burns, scalds and Bites
Poisoning, Electrocution
Allergic reactions including Anaphylactic shock
Course Duration
1 day or over 2 days tailored to suit your needs.
Certification
All successful candidates will receive a certificate valid for a period of 2 years.
